EPT Barcelona 2026: Main Event Action Heats Up on Day 5

EPT Barcelona 2026 saw the Main Event reach 14 players, while John Juanda finished 15th. Fabiano Kovalski won the €3,250 Mystery Bounty, Ralfs Blumbergs captured the €10,250 PLO event, and Jamie Dwan won the €25,000 NLH tournament.

PokerStars EPT Barcelona 2026 delivered another packed day of tournament action on August 27, with major results across the schedule and the Main Event moving into its final stages.

The EPT Barcelona Main Event narrowed its field to just 14 players from an original pool of 1,823. Poker Hall of Famer John Juanda was eliminated in 15th place, earning €67,800. Gerard Carbo held the chip lead at the time of publishing with 112 big blinds.

The eventual champion will take home €1,370,050, setting up a significant finish as the remaining players continue their pursuit of the title.

Fabiano Kovalski emerged victorious in the €3,250 EPT Mystery Bounty after Day 3 concluded. Kovalski outlasted the field of bounty hunters to secure the €331,430 first-place prize, adding €54,000 in bounties to his tournament earnings.

Brandon Harris finished as runner-up for €206,820. Harris also collected €10,000 in bounties during the event.

The €1,650 EPT Mystery Bounty continued with Day 1ab, with 229 players remaining from a field of 550 at the time of publishing. Chile's Sebastian Risco held the chip lead as the event progressed.

Day 1 of the €2,200 No-Limit Hold'em event was completed, with Luka Sorainen taking the title and €60,800.

Andras Nemeth finished runner-up and collected €38,000. The event reached the money with 180,000 marking the in-the-money stage.

The €10,300 EPT High Roller had 198 players remaining from 301 entries at the time of publishing.

Marc David Foggin held the chip lead, while Rania Nasreddine was among the top 10 stacks as the tournament continued.

Latvia's Ralfs Blumbergs claimed victory in the €10,250 PLO Unlimited Re-Entry event at Casino Barcelona.

Including re-entries, 122 players competed for a €1,183,400 prize pool. Blumbergs secured the largest share, adding a €303,300 result to his list of poker accomplishments.

Seventeen players reached the money, including Laszlo Bujtas and Niklas Astedt. Sweden's Filip Lovric was eliminated in eighth place, leaving seven players to make up the official final table.

The latest €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em Unlimited Re-Entry single-day event attracted eight players, including one re-entry, creating a €192,080 prize pool.

Three places were paid despite the compact field, with the payout structure heavily weighted toward the winner.

Kayhan Mokri finished third for €27,972, while Klemens Roiter took second place for €30,012. Jamie Dwan won the event for €134,096 and also collected a Spadie trophy as his run of form continued.

Polish player Marcin Puczylowski won the €1,100 No-Limit Hold'em event at PokerStars EPT Barcelona. Puczylowski collected €76,960 for the victory, which was the third-largest live poker prize of his career.
