BoM usually clashes with another popular live event arranged just next doors, the Malta Poker Festival, but this year they have managed to sort out the dates and BoM is held almost a month after MPF.
There also two editions of BoM each year where the Autumn edition is the popular one with higher GTD and more players in general. On top of the live events, BoM has an online version that has been hosted by GGPoker and other off-shore brands such as ACRPoker in the past.
Why Battle of Malta matters for UK players
For a UK-facing audience, Battle of Malta is easier to care about than many far-flung international festivals because it is close enough to feel realistic.
Malta remains one of the most established poker travel destinations in Europe, and Battle of Malta has built a strong identity around that setting rather than relying purely on operator branding.
The official 2026 festival page says the event brings together international players, qualifiers, live-event regulars and recreational enthusiasts under one roof at Casino Malta.
