London’s live poker calendar is rarely short of something to play, but UK Ladies Weekend is taking a slightly different route into October.

The Women’s Poker Association event runs at The Hippodrome Casino from October 16-18, bringing together women’s cash games, a full coaching day and a £300 tournament with £20,000 guaranteed.

Interest has already shown up before the cards are in the air, with every place for Saturday’s coaching programme now taken.

Friday Starts With Women’s Cash Games

The weekend opens on Friday with dedicated women’s cash games at The Hippodrome.

That gives the event a more relaxed first day before the schedule moves into coaching and tournament poker, while a livestream will also run alongside the tables for those following from home.

The weekend is being hosted by Kerryjane Craigie, PokerStars ambassador and The Hippodrome’s Director of Poker, who has been one of the more visible figures in women’s poker in the UK.

Saturday Coaching Programme Already Sold Out

Saturday moves away from the tables and into a full afternoon of coaching.

The line-up brings together several well-known names, with Jennifer Shahade leading a session on different ways of thinking through the game, while Marle Spragg will break down tournament hands and decision-making.

Victoria Livschitz will focus on study and development away from the tables, before Maria Ho rounds out the programme with a Q&A.
