Ireland's Michael Breen won the £500 buy-in PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event at Manchester235 Casino, outlasting 260 entrants. The tournament created a £115,700 prize pool, while PartyPoker ambassadors Jaime and Matt Staples finished in the money before Breen triumphed.

Ireland's Michael Breen secured the largest live poker tournament score of his career by winning the PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event.

The tournament took place at the Manchester235 Casino, drawing a competitive field of players fighting for the title.

The £500 buy-in tournament attracted a total of 260 entrants. This turnout generated a final prize pool of £115,700, which was distributed among the top 39 finishers.

Among the players who successfully navigated their way into the money were PartyPoker ambassadors Jaime Staples and Matt Staples.

Jaime Staples ultimately busted the tournament in 24th place, while Matt Staples followed shortly after with a 22nd-place finish.

When the action reached the nine-handed final table, chip stacks were remarkably balanced. No single player held a significant chip advantage over the field, as the majority of the finalists held between 29 and 39 big blinds.

Only two players entered the final table with fewer than 20 big blinds. Thales Salomao held the shortest stack of the group, sitting with 12 big blinds. Breen outlasted the entire line-up to claim the victory.

Following the conclusion of the Manchester event, the 2026 PartyPoker Tour shifts its focus to the next stop on the schedule.

The tour will head to the Genting Casino Stratford for PartyPoker Tour London. This upcoming festival is scheduled to run from July 4 to July 12.

The London stop will also feature a £500 buy-in Main Event, which comes with a £100,000 guaranteed prize pool for competitors.
