Stephen Chidwick finished fourth in the $30,000 NLH Turbo at Triton Jeju II, earning $207,000. The UK pro entered the final table as chip leader before falling to Alex Anton, who defeated Artur Martirosian heads-up to secure his maiden Triton title.

UK poker pro Stephen Chidwick finished fourth in Event 9 of the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju II, earning $207,000 in the $30,000 NLH Turbo tournament.

The event attracted 70 entries and featured a $2,100,000 prize pool, with Alex Anton eventually claiming his maiden Triton title and the $577,000 first-place prize.

Chidwick entered the nine-handed final table as the chip leader after helping send Tony Ren Lin to the rail on the bubble. Chidwick held 3,510,000 chips, worth 59 big blinds, ahead of Adrian Mateos on 54 big blinds and Anton on 30.

The final table also featured Artur Martirosian, Mikita Badziakouski, Alisson Piekazewicz, Winfred Yu, Byron Kaverman and Chen Mingcong.

Chen was the first final-table casualty, finishing ninth for $60,000. Winfred Yu followed in eighth for $79,000, while Badziakouski collected $101,000 for seventh.

As the field narrowed, Chidwick remained among the leading contenders in a tournament where the rapidly increasing blinds left the remaining players with increasingly short stacks.

With six players remaining, Chidwick put four big blinds into the middle holding pocket queens after Piekazewicz opened from the button. Chidwick won the hand against Piekazewicz's K-J and continued his run.

Piekazewicz later doubled through Chidwick, while the field continued to shrink. Byron Kaverman finished sixth for $128,000, followed by Mateos in fifth for $164,000.

Chidwick's tournament ended shortly afterward. Anton halted Artur Martirosian's momentum by doubling through him, while Martirosian then doubled through Chidwick with pocket fives.

Left short-stacked, Chidwick eventually moved all-in against Anton. His 10-6 failed to beat Anton's J-x, sending the UK pro to the rail in fourth place for $207,000.

Alisson Piekazewicz finished third for $269,000, leaving Anton and Martirosian heads-up for the title.

The final duel was played with extremely short stacks, with the two players sharing only 28 big blinds at the start. Anton eventually prevailed to secure his first Triton title and the $577,000 top prize.

Martirosian finished runner-up, while Chidwick's fourth-place result secured a $207,000 payout from the $2.1 million prize pool.
