The PokerStars European Poker Tour returns to the French Riviera from April 30 to May 10, 2026. This prestigious festival at Sporting Monte-Carlo features the €5,300 Main Event, high-stakes mystery bounties, and a charity-focused High Roller for One Drop.

The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) is preparing to touch down at one of its most storied and visually stunning locations. At the end of the month, the tour makes its annual pilgrimage to the French Riviera for a festival known for elite competition and luxury.

Running from April 30 through May 10, PokerStars EPT Monte Carlo will be hosted at the world-famous Sporting Monte-Carlo.

This annual tradition in Monaco continues to draw a diverse line-up of professional heavyweights and passionate recreational players from across the globe, all looking to claim a trophy in the billionaire's playground.

Key Events and Opening Highlights

The festival kicks off on April 30 with the €1,650 PokerStars Open Main Event. This no-limit hold'em tournament features four Day 1 starting flights, allowing for a single re-entry per flight. Survivors will return to the felt for Day 2 on May 2.

Opening day also introduces high-intensity action with the €10,200 Mystery Bounty. In this format, €5,000 of every buy-in is diverted into the mystery bounty pool, creating massive sweat opportunities for players who secure a knockout.

On May 1, the stakes rise even further with the start of the €100,000 High Roller for One Drop, an elite event that supports the One Drop clean water initiative.
While high-stakes hold'em often takes center stage, the schedule offers a wide variety of formats and buy-in levels to suit any bankroll.

Beyond the standard no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha offerings, mixed-game aficionados can find specialized events including Omaha hi-lo and T.O.R.S.E., ensuring a comprehensive poker experience.

The Race for the Main Event Title

The crown jewel of the festival, the €5,300 EPT Monte Carlo Main Event, officially begins on May 4. This flagship tournament features two opening flights and utilizes a single re-entry format.

The field will narrow during Day 2 on May 6, with the most successful players battling toward the final table on May 9. A new champion will be crowned on May 10, joining the ranks of poker’s elite.

Last year, the title went to Aleksandr Shevliakov. The Russian pro navigated a massive field of 1,195 entries to secure the top prize of €1,000,000. As the tour returns to the Mediterranean coast, all eyes will be on the felt to see who becomes the next player to conquer the Rock.
