Online poker giant
GGPoker has officially expanded its elite ambassador stable, GGTeam, by signing rising poker star and content creator Leah Hauer.
GGPoker has appointed Hauer as its dedicated UK and Ireland Brand Ambassador. In this new role, she will represent the platform online and across major live tournament circuits throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Hauer’s transition into the professional poker community follows a diverse professional background. Previously a League of Legends streamer, she leveraged her competitive edge to walk away from a successful corporate consulting career at Visa to pursue poker on a full-time basis.
Since making the transition, Hauer has cultivated a loyal following within the UK poker community through her authentic and entertaining YouTube channel, "leahhatespoker" (a tongue-in-cheek reference to the emotional highs and lows experienced by poker players).
Alongside her growing community presence, Hauer has secured several notable domestic and international tournament results, including:
2026 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Prague: A deep run resulting in an 18th-place finish in the €1,000 Ladies Championship.
- British Poker Series (BPS) London: A podium finish, securing 3rd place in the BPS Ladies Event.
- Merit Poker Carmen Series: Back-to-back podium finishes, claiming 2nd and 3rd place in Cyprus events.
Both Hauer and GGPoker leadership expressed strong mutual alignment regarding the new partnership. Hauer noted her pride in joining GGTeam and emphasizing the central role the UK and Ireland community has played in her journey.
She highlighted a shared passion for growing the game, supporting players, and uniting the community across both online and live event spheres.
Angela Martin, the UK and Ireland Head of Marketing at GGPoker, welcomed Hauer to the brand, praising her refreshing energy, authenticity, and strong connection to the grassroots UK poker scene.
Martin noted that Hauer’s passion and content align with
GGPoker’s commitment to celebrating and supporting the poker community both online and offline.
