Main Event Champion: Martin Lechner

Lechner, who describes poker as a "profitable hobby" for the past 18 years, arrived in Glasgow with roughly $220,000 in career live earnings and left with the biggest title of his life. After a heads-up deal was struck between Lechner and Brit Richard Kellett, the Austrian fought off his opponent in under 45 minutes to claim both the extra cash and the coveted trophy.

"It's amazing. It's my first 888 Live tournament, and I came here for the trophy. The trophy means a bit more than the money for me, so it's really special to win heads-up," Lechner said after the victory.
