The first GUKPT Glasgow has its first major champion, with Nick Swann taking down the £100,000 guaranteed Mini Main after a 411-entry field gathered at Grosvenor Casino Merchant City.

The festival now moves into its higher-stakes stretch. The £1,000 High Roller reaches Day 2 on Thursday, while the £560 Main Event begins its first starting flight later in the afternoon with another £100,000 guarantee attached.

Swann Tops 411 Entries in the Mini Main

Swann came through four starting flights and two further days of play to claim the Mini Main title on Wednesday.

The £250 event consisted of a £220 tournament buy-in plus a £30 fee and carried a £100,000 guarantee. With 411 entries, the field itself did not generate enough tournament buy-ins to cover that figure, meaning the advertised guarantee came into play.

The result continues a solid run for Swann on the GUKPT. He finished fifth in the 2025 GUKPT Edinburgh Main Event for £10,690 before adding the Glasgow Mini Main title to his résumé.

£50K High Roller Heads Into Day 2

Attention on Thursday first turns to the £1,000 High Roller, which began on Wednesday afternoon.

The tournament carries a £50,000 guarantee, with £900 from each entry going towards the prize pool and £100 accounting for the fee. Players received 100,000 starting chips and played 40-minute levels on Day 1.

Importantly, registration remains open until the start of Day 2. That means the final number of entries and the confirmed prize pool were not yet locked in the time this article was written.

Day 2 is scheduled to begin at noon in Glasgow and will play down to a winner.

GUKPT Glasgow Main Event Starts Thursday

The Main Event takes over from 1:00 PM on Thursday with the first of three starting flights.

Grosvenor’s current schedule lists the event at £500 + £60, with a £100,000 guaranteed prize pool, a 20,000 starting stack and 60-minute levels. Day 1B follows at noon on Friday before a final Turbo flight begins at 9:00 PM.

The Main Event is the second £100,000 guaranteed tournament of Glasgow’s debut GUKPT stop, which features £315,000 in advertised guarantees across the live festival.
