Grosvenor Unveils Goliath 2026 Schedule With £200 Main Event Back in Coventry

Grosvenor Poker published the full schedule for Goliath 2026, with the festival returning to Coventry from July 23 to August 2 and the £200 Main Event once again placed where everyone expected to find it: right at the centre of the whole thing.

That Main Event remains the draw. It is still one of the biggest low-buy-in live tournaments anywhere in Europe, and last year it pulled in 12,961 entries, enough to make it the 16th-largest live poker tournament ever recorded. Grosvenor is now projecting an estimated £2 million prize pool for 2026, which suggests the operator expects another very large turnout rather than a quiet reset year.

Goliath has become one of those festivals that does not really need much introduction for UK players. They already know what it is supposed to be.

The Main Event buy-in stays at £200, which is important because that number does a lot of the work here. It is low enough to keep the field broad, high enough to feel like a proper target, and familiar enough that Grosvenor does not need to tamper with it. The 2026 structure includes nine starting flights, with two turbo flights tucked into the final stretch before Day 2 begins on August 1.

This is also one of those events where the growth trend matters. Since its launch in 2011, Goliath has more or less kept getting bigger whenever it has been allowed to run. Aside from the years wiped out by COVID, the event has built a habit of expanding, and last year’s near-£2 million prize pool gave Grosvenor every reason to keep the same template in place.

There is also a practical tweak this year that fits the event fairly well.

Grosvenor says players can now use the Grosvenor Poker Live app to buy in with debit cards and vouchers, which should make advance registration a bit easier across iOS and Android. Again, it is not the flashiest part of the announcement, but Goliath is not really a festival built on flashy details. It is built on making the route in simple enough that people actually use it.

That idea runs through the satellite options as well. Direct routes into one of the nine starting flights begin from £30, and feeder steps start from only £1. Grosvenor has also said that Live Event Credit won online can be used across the wider Goliath schedule, which gives players more room to choose where they want to take a shot.

That broader flexibility matters because the festival tends to attract a lot of different kinds of players. Some come in through steps and small feeders, others buy in directly, and a fair number simply treat the whole thing as the one live stop they want to play every summer.
